Sasha Dimitrjevitch, LMHC

Sasha is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Founder and Director of both Live Well Therapy Group and Peak Therapy Center . She has worked in the mental health field for over 8 years and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Her expertise lies in the assessment and treatment of children, adults, families and couples with a wide range of concerns, such as behavioral challenges, couples/family conflict, anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, trauma, and complex trauma.

Throughout her experience working with children and adolescents, Sasha has successfully conducted Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), developed and implemented Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and provided evidence-based interventions and strategies to parents, educators and school staff. Sasha also has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disorders, specializing in decreasing aggressive, non-compliant, and undesireable behaviors.

Sasha also works with adults and has a passion for working with clients who are struggling with relationships, parents seeking guidance/parent training, coparenting, individuals with low self-esteem, clients suffering from anxiety, and family conflict.

In sessions, Sasha is encouraging, practical, and straight-forward, focusing on solutions that help clients get their life back on track. She uses a collaborative approach to therapy and helps clients through the use of evidence-based interventions. Although Sasha tailors her approach to fit the unique needs of each client, her primary theoretical orientations are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). Using CBT and SFBT interventions, she helps clients identify unhealthy thought patterns and learn skills to change irrational beliefs and develop more positive and healthy thinking patterns.

Sasha is also a Department of Children and Families (DCF) Approved Provider for the Florida Education and Family Stabilization Course, which is designed to educate and train divorcing parents in regards to the impact of divorce on children. You can sign up for the course here:
