Sasha Dimitrjevitch, M.S.

Sasha Dimitrjevitch is the Founder of Live Well Therapy. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has worked in the mental health field for over 8 years. Her professional experience includes providing services to adults, adolescents, and children in her private practice, as well as outpatient clinics and in the school and daycare settings.

Throughout her experience working with children and adolescents, Sasha has successfully conducted Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), developed and implemented Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and provided evidence-based interventions and strategies to parents, educators and school staff. Sasha also has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disorders, specializing in decreasing aggressive, non-compliant, and undesired behaviors. She is currently completing the requirements to become a Registered Play Therapist in order to further develop her skills.

In addition to working with children, Sasha works with adults providing  individual, couples and family psychotherapy. She treats adults with a wide range of mental health concerns. Her passion lies in working with individuals struggling with relationships, parents seeking guidance, individuals with low self-esteem, clients suffering from anxiety, and family conflict.

In sessions, Sasha is encouraging, practical, and straight-forward, focusing on solutions that help clients get their life back on track as quickly as possible. She works collaboratively with clients and helps individuals through the use of evidence-based therapy. Although Sasha tailors her approach to fit the unique needs of each individual, her primary theoretical orientations are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). Using CBT and SFBT interventions, she helps clients identify their faulty thought patterns and learn skills to alter their irrational beliefs for more adaptive thoughts.

Sasha is a Registered Mental Health Counselor and a Department of Children and Families (DCF) Approved Provider for the Florida Education and Family Stabilization Course, which is designed to educate and train divorcing parents in regards to the impact of divorce on children.
