Sasha is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, and the Founder of Live Well Therapy Group and Peak Therapy Center, a center for ABA therapy.
Sasha has over 9 years of experience working with children, adults, families and couples with a wide range of concerns, such as behavioral challenges, couples/family conflict, anxiety, depression, complex trauma, parenting concerns, and post-partum challenges.
Sasha specializes in working with couples and is a Gottman Level 1 trained therapist. She has a passion for working with couples, new moms, parents seeking guidance/parent training, and clients suffering from adjustment disorders and life transitions.
In sessions, Sasha is encouraging, practical, and straight-forward, focusing on solutions that help clients get their life back on track. She uses a collaborative approach to therapy and helps clients through the use of evidence-based interventions. Although Sasha tailors her approach to fit the unique needs of each client, her primary theoretical orientations are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and Gottman Method Therapy.
In addition to working with children and teens in her private practice, Sasha also conducts school observations and provides behavior modification therapy in the daycare/school setting. She has experience working in the school setting as part of the Special Education Program (SPED) where she provided counseling to children in grades K-12.
Sasha also has experience providing ABA therapy to children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disorders, specializing in decreasing aggressive, non-compliant, and undesirable behaviors. To find out more about these services click here.
As a mom of two, Sasha has a true passion for working with parents to enhance communication and improve coparenting relationships by reducing conflict. She is a Department of Children and Families (DCF) Approved Provider for the Florida Education and Family Stabilization Course, which is designed to educate and train divorcing parents in regards to the impact of divorce on children.
