Melissa longman, MSW

Melissa (Missy) has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, teens and the elderly. She works collaboratively with clients who are coping with a broad range of issues: grief/loss, crisis management, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, parenting, relationship challenges, and caring for an aging parent or child with disabilities.  

Missy is trained in trauma-informed EMDR therapy which has been extensively researched and proven to be helpful in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, and other distressing mental health concerns. Missy utilizes a supportive, person-centered approach to help clients strengthen their coping skills and live optimally. She believes that trust and safety are the cornerstones of a successful therapeutic relationship.

Education:

Graduate: Master in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University.

Undergraduate: Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida.
