Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Reiki Practitioner, originally from New Jersey, and relocated to Miami in 2008 (the beach is Rachel’s happy place). She obtained her Master’s degree from Barry University in 2010 and began to work in the foster care system. After 3 years of burnout, but accruing the hours needed for licensure, Rachel left and has had a career of working with a diverse population. This population includes pre-teens, incarcerated juveniles, behavioral management residential programs, couples, severely mentally ill clients in psychiatric units, and incarcerated adults in the Dade County system. While building her career, Rachel has always maintained private clients. 

Rachel’s passion lies in the treatment of anxiety, depression, life transitions (such as motherhood and divorce), eating disorders, and trauma. Although Rachel tailors her approach to fit the unique needs of each client, her primary theoretical orientations are psycho-dynamic therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, client centered therapy, and mindfulness. 

Rachel is a veteran of creating safe space for her clients to work towards their goals. She creates a supportive and trusting environment where a patient can communicate their feelings wholeheartedly. Being in alignment with your true authentic self is key to creating a peaceful life. During sessions the client is encouraged to be completely honest with what they feel, deeply value, and desire. These practices guide the client to becoming their best self, which will create a harmonious life. Rachel is a devoted professional and looks forward to hearing your story.
