Loryn is a therapist who works with teens, adults, couples and
families. She completed her dual master's degrees in both Mental
Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy at Barry
University. Before working in private practice, Loryn completed
over 1000 clinical hours working at Crysalis Health, a community
mental health center providing counseling to individuals, families
and couples experiencing a wide range of concerns including
anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, relationship difficulties,
and parenting concerns.
Although trained in a myriad of therapeutic modalities, Loryn
gravitates towards Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based
Cognitive Therapy and The Gottman Method. She takes an
integrative approach with her clients, combining cognitive,
behavioral, and humanistic elements from different approaches to
fit the unique needs of her client’s circumstances. Loryn’s
curiosity and thirst for knowledge keeps her up to date on
evidence based interventions that she incorporates into her
practice. She is currently working towards certification in EMDR
therapy. As a wife and a mother of two, she is passionate about
helping individuals and families navigate conflict.
Loryn creates a loving, empathetic, and safe environment where
she empowers clients through her collaborative, client centered
approach. She integrates mindfulness tools into her practice to
help clients achieve their strongest, most self confident, authentic
senses of self.
