Veronica is a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience in the Mental Health profession. She uses an integrative approach to effectively work with adolescents, young adults, families and couples. Veronica works with individuals suffering with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, life transitions and other issues that can make life challenging.
Veronica believes that individuals have the innate ability to meet their ultimate potential when equipped with psychosocial support and life skills that can help them overcome their personal obstacles. She believes that providing psychoeducation to individuals and families regarding their diagnosis can lead to more successful outcomes. Her counseling style incorporates a strength based approach, motivational enhancement therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Lastly, Veronica also believes that family participation and support are crucial to the recovery process.
Graduate: Veronica received her Master's in Clinical Social Work from Florida International University in 2008.
Undergraduate: Veronica earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 2005.
