Cassandra Cardenas is a bilingual (English/Spanish) intern currently obtaining her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Florida International University (FIU). She has experience working with FIU’s Center for Children and Families, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and the School Readiness Parenting Program (SRPP).
During her time with the Center for Children and Families, Cassandra has worked with children with ADHD. She has also worked collaboratively with parents to help address their children’s behavioral concerns. She has utilized behavioral approaches and Motivational Interviewing with families.
Cassandra believes in a collaborative and individualized approach. She utilizes a client-centered approach that involves working with various dimensions of a client’s life. She aims at empowering her clients to become the best versions of themselves.
Graduate: Cassandra is in her second year of the Professional Counseling Psychology Masters’ Program at FIU.
Undergraduate: Cassandra received her Bachelors’ Degree in Psychology from FIU, graduating as a Worlds Ahead Graduate and Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA).
